As we all know, the PCB board of the LED light strip has a great influence on the quality of the light strip. A poor board will lead to obvious voltage drop and poor heat dissipation, which is prone to quality problems.
At present, there are various types of boards in the market, such as single-sided, double-sided, electrolytic copper and rolled copper, etc. Using a good double-sided PCB can ensure that the product can pass a large current and ensure good heat dissipation.

1. The structure of the board is different
The single layer PCB has only one layer of circuits, and the structure is simple; while the double layer PCB has double-layer circuits, which can realize more complex functions. The specific difference can be seen in the picture below.

4. Hand Feeling
You can tear off the 3M adhesive tape. The single-sided board is very thin compared to the double-sided board. If you are not careful, you are afraid of tearing the board. The wind can blow it away. It looks like a poor-quality product. . The double-sided PCB feels thicker and stiffer, and looks better in quality.
5. Circuit at Backside
Because there are lines on the back of the double-sided panel, the lines of the light strips cannot be seen. On the other hand, there is no circuit on the back of the single-sided version, and the circuit structure of the board can be seen directly through the back.

6. The power and voltage drop of LED strips are different
Because the current that can pass through the single-sided version is very low, the power of the LED strip cannot be made high. Once the power of the strip exceeds 10W/m, the brightness of the head and tail of the strip will be very obvious. The double-sided panel is different, it allows the power of the light strip to be higher, and the voltage drop is not obvious. Therefore, high-end LED strips are made with at least 2oz double-sided panels.
7. The application of the product is different
Single-sided PCB is mainly used on cheap LED strips, and the market is very large; or on high-voltage strips
Double-sided PCB is the basic requirement for high-quality LED strips. If you want to use LED strips in projects, you need to use LED strips with double panels, otherwise, quality problems will easily occur.
