RGB LED Strip Lights
RGB LED strips combine red, green and blue light to create adjustable colors for cove lighting, retail displays, hotels and entertainment spaces. With a compatible RGB controller, the connected strip changes color together, with dimming, fading and other effects available through the controller.
Hanron manufactures 5050, 3838 and 2835 SMD RGB LED strips in China for lighting brands, distributors and project suppliers. We customize PCB width, LED density, power, waterproof protection and strip length to fit your installation and product requirements. RGB COB LED strips are also available for projects requiring a more continuous line of light.

FAQS
The numbers refer to the LED package dimensions: 5050 LEDs measure approximately 5.0 × 5.0mm, while 3838 LEDs measure approximately 3.8 × 3.8mm.
5050 RGB strips are a common choice for general decorative lighting. The smaller 3838 package allows more compact layouts, making it useful for narrow PCBs and high-density designs. For slim fixtures or closely spaced LEDs, consider our 3838 models. Compare the actual power, light output and PCB width before ordering—LED package size alone does not determine brightness.
Surely, it's OK.
Rigid RGB led strip lights are make by FR4 PCB.
Use a constant-voltage power supply that matches the strip’s rated voltage, together with a compatible three-channel RGB controller. Check both the controller’s maximum current per channel and its total load capacity.
Calculate the strip’s power requirement as follows:
Total power = watts per meter × installed length
For example, 5 meters of 14.4W/m RGB strip require 72W. To leave approximately 20% of the power supply’s rated capacity unused, calculate 72W ÷ 0.8 = 90W. A suitable 100W supply provides additional margin, subject to its operating temperature and derating requirements.
For larger installations, divide the load between suitable controller outputs or use compatible RGB amplifiers.
Yes. RGB strips can mix red, green and blue light to produce a white appearance. However, this mixed white is intended mainly for decorative effects and does not provide the same white-light quality as a dedicated white LED.
If your project needs both colored effects and everyday white lighting, choose RGBW for a dedicated white channel, or RGB+CCT for adjustable warm-to-cool white lighting.
Yes, it's OK.
Because the input voltage of USB is always DC5V, please kindly choose a DC5V rgb led strip if you want to add USB connector.
For most new architectural lighting installations, 24V is a practical starting point. At the same power, a 24V strip draws half the current of a 12V strip, helping reduce voltage drop in the supply cables.
Choose 12V when your existing system uses a 12V power supply or when you need the shorter cutting intervals available on certain models. For example, our 5050 RGB 60 LEDs/m strip has a 50mm cutting interval at 12V and a 100mm interval at 24V. Always match the strip, power supply and controller voltage.
Choose the density according to how closely the strip will be viewed and how much space is available for light mixing.
60 LEDs/m: A practical starting point for concealed ceiling coves and decorative lighting where the LEDs are not directly visible.
96–120 LEDs/m: Closer LED spacing for smaller lighting details and installations where individual light points are more noticeable.
240 LEDs/m: Consider this for closely spaced light points in shallow profiles or close-view applications, with a suitable diffuser.
Higher density does not automatically mean higher brightness or completely dot-free lighting. Compare power and light output, and test the strip with your intended profile and diffuser. RGB COB is another option when a continuous line of light is the priority.
These standard RGB strips cannot create independently moving colors along a single connected strip. All LEDs within the same control circuit receive the same RGB settings, so they change color together.
For chasing effects, moving rainbow patterns or separately controlled sections, choose an addressable LED strip with a compatible pixel controller. Hanron also supplies addressable SMD and Pixel COB strips for these applications.
Yes. Hanron manufactures RGB COB LED strips as well as the SMD RGB models shown on this page.
RGB COB strips use closely spaced LED chips beneath a continuous phosphor layer to reduce visible light points. They are useful for close-view decorative lighting and installations where a smooth line of color is important.
We can help you select a model based on voltage, PCB width, power, installation length and waterproof requirements. If you need chasing effects, ask about our Pixel COB options.
Yes. Hanron manufactures RGB LED strips in China and offers OEM and ODM support for lighting brands, distributors and project suppliers. Our 10 lighting engineers can help develop a strip around your fixture dimensions, lighting requirements and installation conditions.
Customization options include LED type and density, PCB width and color, voltage and power, waterproof construction, pre-cut strip lengths, cable lengths and connectors. We also offer PCB logo printing, custom labels and branded packaging.
Send us your specifications and order quantity for a proposed configuration, samples and a quotation. Minimum order quantities depend on the customization required.
For standard RGB LED strips, we recommend a maximum of 5 meters powered from one end to maintain consistent brightness and color.
For longer runs, choose our ultra-long RGB LED strips. We offer 24V models in 15-meter reels and 36V models in 20-meter reels, both designed for single-end power feeding. Longer runs are also possible with lower-power designs or a 48V supply voltage.
Send us your required run length, power per meter and installation details. We can recommend a suitable strip and power supply arrangement for your project.
